SYLVAN BEGINNINGS

I come from a small village in the countryside near Ohio's first capital, Chillicothe. My most fond early memories are of days exploring nature barefoot in the Appalachian foothills, and sleepless nights gazing at the dazzling stars in the sky.

Early on, my life ended up on paper. Drawings of animals, and anime characters—art quickly became a part of who I am. As I aged I fell in love with how art I made for others brought them joy, so much so that It drove me to attend my local career tech school for graphic design.

At 17, I moved 100 miles from home to further my education. I became a first-generation college graduate in 2015 after obtaining my AAB in Advertising Art from The Modern College of Design with a multi-focus in UX/UI design and illustration.

LIFE TODAY

I am a graphic designer and illustrator based in Dayton, Ohio with over a decade of experience applying my knowledge of human-centered UX/UI design and graphic design to solve employer and client problems.

Due to adversities I have faced in my childhood, I deal with CPTSD as well as chronic pain daily. I continue to create art to connect with and process my experiences, providing healing and joy, despite the challenges I face.

When I'm not working on a project, I love spending time with my husband and

four cats, playing games on the PlayStation 5, napping, and learning new skills to implement into my creative process.
